The Central Mississippi Partnership (CMRP) submitted Letters of Support for two BUILD grant applications that would bring much-needed dollars to regional transportation projects. The BUILD (Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development) grant program is a competitive federal program that funds surface transportation infrastructure projects. The current solicitation allows funds to be used for capital construction and planning efforts, which presents an exciting opportunity to advance CMRP priority projects.

CMRP partners at Wright and Sherburne counties have led the application process for each of the projects and expect to hear back in June. If the requests are successful, these grant funds will also position the river crossing and TH10/CSAH 11 projects competitively for future federal and state funding.
